Trailer Reviews: Stars Wars The Force Awakens

Well the final (they say final but I don’t buy that) trailer for Star Wars The Force Awakens is out.

And it’s fair to say IT’S EPIC!!

The first scene is Rey scavenging through the downed star destroyer which has been seen in previous teasers, which looks beautiful. The soundtrack to this trailer is outstanding, it gives me goose bumps! Then we see Rey looking up at a ship taking off with a look of hope, foreshadowing the rest of the film most probably. Then we see Finn’s ship (I assume) being shot down and he says something like I was raised for one thing and now I’ve got nothing to fight for. So Finn was part of the first order and then he got out?

Kylo Ren… Kylo Ren… Kylo… Ren. Oh my I want him to win, he’s just so cool. His voice is amazing it’s not a Darth Vader rip off and it’s not Christian Bale batman. It’s perfect! then we see Poe being tortured by Kylo Ren, which is very reminiscent of Vader on Han solo. Then the John Williams score kicks in, oh my. It’s beautiful. With an amazing Millennium Falcon sequence then it goes to Han saying the Jedi the Sith it’s all real, which shows how his views have changed from the original trilogy. Him saying this shows that in the 30 years since Return of the Jedi; the Jedi are still a myth; no one knows about Luke and the Jedi. Then we see the Millennium Falcon going through hyper space, which is AWESOME.

Then we see Kylo with what looks like the Kinights of Ren, which just looks so cool.

Then there’s an attack on what looks like Skellig Michael Island and then we cut to Captain Phasma, who just looks amazing . I can’t wait to see (or hear) Gwendoline Christie in this film, she is an absolute hero (very different than her Star Wars character). Then we see Leia and Han hugging, which looks like they are being reunite to me. The final scene is the fight between Kylo and Finn. Kylo has lost his helmet so this suggests that this fight is going to be raw and real; unlike the fights in the prequels. This trailer is sooo good. I mean it’s no “Chewie we’re home” but it’s still one of the best trailers of the year. I gives me goose bumps every time I watch it, I can’t say how many times I’ve watched it.
